Nikolay Alexeevich Buranov was born in Serov city, Sverdlovsk Region, West Siberia .
Was trained in the Art College in Serov before the Great War 2 . Was a student in one group with famous Russian sculptor Ernest Neizvestniy.
In 1939 graduated 3 curses of college, has been mobilized in the Soviet Army, where has served before termination Great War 2 and the War with Japan .
The demobilization in 1945 he continues the interrupted study in an Art College . After graduation from a Collage he works in Serov as the artist – designer. In 1954 entered to the Russian Art Academy (the State Institute named after I.E. Repin). Graduated from the Art Academy in the 1961 and has been invited to the personal Studio by the Honorable Artist of Russia B.V. Ioganson.
In the same year was accepted as member in the Leningrad branch of Union of the Artists of Russia.
Systematically participated in all exhibitions of the Leningrad Artists' Union , where his large skill as painter was marked and the paintings were bought, including under the contracts with ministry of culture USSR .
He has died in 1991, but has left works, which are in various privet collections and museums in the world and constantly are exposed.
Paintings of the artist are exposed in Central Management of Exhibitions, Moscow , Exhibition of Artists' Union in St.Petersburg, in a Museum of a History of St.Petersburg, in regional art museums, in private collections in Russia and abroad.
